Hey, sorry for the lack of updates recently but I have been really busy on all fronts.

    I'm leaving to Copenhagen to start a European tour with Arcadia, see dates in the tour dates section. We'll be around Europe until the middle of October.

    Once finished this tour I'll be on tour again as guitarist for the American band Abomination with the legendary singer/bassplayer Paul Speckmann and Raphael Saini at the drums (see tour dates).

    I'm also planning to complete the new album regarding my solo project "codex magika". A couple of solos and bass line only to record and then I'll go into the mixing process. It will be ready by Christmas 2011, so if you don't know which present to buy for friends and stuff... (LOL)

    Furthermore at Skien Gitarskole og Lydstudio we started a new study season with a lot of new courses. (check www.skienmusikk.com for updates). Hey everybody, a bunch of news from Demetrio "Dimitry" Scopelliti:

    I am starting the recording sessions for a new exiting music project. The band's name is "codex magika" and the album will be available in September 2011. The disc will be an Ep composed of 5 tracks of a kind of crossover between prog-fusion-rock/metal. The other musicians involved in the project are: Magnus Nødset (drums/Norway) and Davide Merletto (vocals/Italy). Check my blog for daily news/videos regarding the recording sessions of the album.

    I joined the American band "Abomination" for the next European tour in November 2011 (check tour dates section). The band is on the road again after 20 years of sleeping and still led by the legendary singer/bass player "Paul Speakmann". Look foward to seeing all the fans on the road...

    Arcadia have 3 brand new tracks downloadable for free from www.arcadiacrew.com. These are the first three tracks released after the previous album "Roy Philip Nohl" was out in 2010. Enjoy new & fresh music... The plan of the band is to complete the writing sessions for the next album by the late Summer (presumably September).

I'm busy with the mix, mastering of the new upcoming Arcadia Ep 2011.

3 new tracks will be available on www.arcadiacrew.com from next week.

The band will be headliner at the HARD CASTLE FEST in Alessandria (Italy) on July 30, 2011.

On the production side I am now mixing the upcoming album of the extreme metal band Framferd from Norway. All the album will be soon finished. Check their website ( www.framferd.com ) for the "studio diary".

Finally I had the time to start a new record on my own, the project name is "codex magika", this album will be out presumably in September 2011. Read my blog article for details. I'll play guitar, bass and I'll produce the entire album.

Hello, some fresh news...

I signed a distribution deal with RNC MUSIC, Italy based label distributing music on all the world digital stores.

My first album "Evolution 2009 version" will be distributed by them all over the world.
They are also licensing the physical CD for distribution in the record stores in Italy and the rest of the globe through other record labels (will know more about that later).

About my next solo album I have decided to start the recording sessions by Summer 2011; I have written a lot of material so far and I am going to decide about the musicians taking part in this new project soon, so stay tuned and you'll know the names.

I am re-arranging some demos for Arcadia and soon we're entering the studio for a new Ep out in May 2011 (see this video).

On the production side I am in the studio producing Framferd, looking foward for the vocals recording sessions.

Hello.

I am going to start this month the production of a new band, Framferd from Norway; they play extreme metal.

That band is really close to me because two of the guys in the band played in my "solo project" and recorded the two bonus tracks in "Dimitry's Evolution EP - 2009 edition".
We are starting on 21st February @ Skien Lydstudio (my studios).

About my next solo album I am in the "writing process". I have already recorded a lot of demo material and I am planning to start the recording of the album anytime soon around May/June 2011.
The material will be really various and most of the tracks will be different from each other: some rock, some with vocals (?), some metal tunes, some ethnic/folk (?)...

Arcadia have one new tune out at www.arcadiacrew.com. The song is downloadable for free!

Hey Everybody!

Hope you had a great celebration on new year's eve. I am here back in business. 2010 was an awesome year for me. In order:

• I released the new album of Arcadia "RPN" which is still going great right now (check the new reviews/interviews in the download section).

• With Arcadia we took part in 2 different tours for a total of 2 months on the road.

• I finished the 3rd part of my rock-metal instructional/demo DVD (check all the videos in the download section, all in streaming for free).

• I finished and opened to the public the new "Skien Musikk: Skien gitarskole og lyd studio", a combination between a music school and a recording studio. Check www.skienmusikk.com for info.

• I produced and recorded the single of Celina: "This is not so cool"

• I produced the band "Emanuel Desperados" in the studio.

What about the 2011? I already have a lot of plans:

• A new solo album
• A new instructional dvd/course
• A lot of touring and other "secret plans", secret just so far

Long time since the last updates...

My new recording studio in Skien - Norway (view map) is finished and ready to go... Some pics will be posted soon on this website and on my company's at www.skienmusikk.com

I've just finished working on the "Emanuel desperados" mix and Celina's hit single "This is not so cool". In that case I arranged, played the guitar and produced the track which will be soon available for sale in the best stores and on the web.

About my music:
My new single "A clockwork Feeling" from the "Evolution 2009 edition" album is now for digital download on Itunes, CdBaby, Spotify and several digital platforms all around the web.

Arcadia will be soon featured on rockband (the game) for x-box and playstation with the track "Slaughterhouse, Obituaries and a Love Story".

Arcadia are going on tour to promote the new album in November; some dates are already booked (check them out in the tour section of the website).

I will probably flying to Italy for some new promotional and instructional videos for Peavey electronics in October; you will know more soon.

Finally I am writing some new material. I'm still not sure about the project for which I'll use that music, if Arcadia, Dimitry or something else...

Summer seems to be really busy to me.

I am mixing the Norwegian based stoner band "Emanuel Desperados". The mixing will be finished in a couple of weeks and the CD will be available soon.

I also started working on a hit single for the little "Norske talenter" finalist Celina. I will record guitars, arrange the songs and produce it.

The track so far is really catchy and I really think it will have a very good feedback when it will be sold in stores to the public.

About Arcadia we'll take part in the "Maximum Rock Festival" in Italy on 25 July, supporting the English Metal Legend "Napalm Death".

My "Skien Gitarskole og Lydstudio" will move to a totally new location (still in Skien/Norway).

More news about that during the summer...

Hi everybody, I'm just back from the Spring session tour with Arcadia supporting Six Feet Under and Illdisposed and soon after that the big Italian Expo "Music Italy Show".

Nice to find there some friends that I hadn't seen for long time.

All the demos for Peavey Amp were pretty good, I played the 3120 head and a couple of pxd guitars.

Hello Everybody !

I've just come back from a couple of clinics and concerts in Norway with the Norwegian Dimitry Band.

Now the next 2 months will be dedicated to the new Arcadia release "Roy Philip Nohl" and the big upcoming Arcadia tour supporting the band "Six Feet Under" (Usa/Metal Blade Rec.).

The new disc is on its way to the mastering and will be available for fans in the beginning of April. The presale will start soon.

I'll be playing for "Peavey Amp" in the upcoming big expo in Bologna, Italy on May 15-16-17, 2010; I'll be playing some Peavey amps as the 6505 and 3120. I am waiting for confirmation of a possible Arcadia participation in the event either on 16th or 17th May.

I also have really big news and I'll reveal that soon on these pages so stay tuned.

The first two clinics went really good. Soon you will have some clips on line on my youtube channel and on this website.

I want to thank all my students who came to MusikkTorvet to check me out on the 11th February.

Eventually the new Arcadia album "Roy Philip Nohl" will be ready by March.

The record is going to be released by April 1, 2010 and Arcadia leave on tour supporting the big band "Six Feet Under" (Metal Blade).

In May 2010 I'll play at the Bologna MUSIC SHOW 2010 (Bologna-IT) for Peavey Italy, so I invite all my Italian fans to come and check me out there.

Bologna Music Show will be the biggest music expo in Italy, so for those who will come I'll be there on May 15, 16, 17.

Hello Folks.

Just to start, I wish all of you a Happy New Year 2010.

Lots of stuff going on at the very beginning of the year...

I'll have some clinic solo gigs in the first months, please check "tour dates" for details...

I received the new Peavey "mini" Vypyr, the custom preamp I talked about last time and that I will use during my next dates.

I really thank Peavey for this tool and for the support they constantly give to me.

A couple of gigs with the "Dimitry's Band" in March will be revealed soon. (Please check tourdates page often.)

The new Arcadia album mix is almost finished. Still we don't know when the album will be out but we'll figure that out soon. Thanks for your patience guys...
The songs sound killer and no doubt this will be the best album of Arcadia ever!!! Agressive, melodic, groovy and technical!!!
